Breakfast At Restoran Tim Shun Loong & Saturday's Critters.

We have been to this place a few times before with my golden girlfriends but so far I have not posted about the food here. On this particular morning about 2 weeks ago, we happened to be in this area and we might as well stopped here for our breakfast.

The place is called Restoran Tim Shun Loong at Jalan Peh Kee Koh, Taman Hoover. It is opposite to the Ee Chan Convenience Store.
We ordered a pre-packed kerabu or beehoon or was it tom yam vermicelli.
Something simple yet very tasty.
1 piece of crispy fried prawn fritters. The prawns with the shells were fried till very crispy. I will usually try to remove whatever shell I could remove.
Prawn noodle - quite good to our taste.
A glass of iced black coffee and a cup of hot white coffee.

The following photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
This black butterfly flew into my home one evening.
I noticed that certain parts of its wings were torn.
We are used to having birds, butterflies and other insects flying into our house and trying to find their way out. It is not unusual to see them but to take snap shots of them is not easy.
It was fluttering here and there trying to find its way out. I waited for it to settle. Then I scooped it up with a piece of paper and released it outside my house.
Another big bee sucking nectar from my yellow buttercup flowers.
This bee has yellow rings on its lower body. The other bee that I have shared here had no yellow rings on its lower body.
This bee is slimmer and longer than the previous bee.
It was very engrossed in what it was doing. It was busy collecting nectar for honey. It stuck its head right into the flower.
Just as it is harmful to eat too much honey,
so also it is bad for men to think about all the honors they deserve!
(Proverbs 25:27, The Living Bible-TLB)

  11. I usually eat the shells of the deep fried prawns on the prawn fritters. Poor butterfly/moth, with its torn wings, I don't think it can survive.

  19. Wait! I forgot to ask. What is white coffee? I love coffee and drink a lot. I would like to make this.

    1. Ipoh ‘white’ coffee is a popular coffee drink which originated from Ipoh in the state of Perak, Malaysia. The traditional black coffee beans are roasted with palm oil margarine, and the resulting coffee is served with condensed milk and the result is "white coffee".

  28. We had an invasion of that kind of butterfly a couple of years back in KL. They were everywhere - on the walls, on the ground. Haven't occurred again though.

    1. In my case, I wouldn't say its an invasion but it happens once in a while. I wonder if it could be due to the hot weather...
